Indirect Object

A: Kaufst du uns ein Eis? (Do you buy us an ice?)
B: Nein, ich kaufe euch heute kein Eis. (No, I buy you today no ice.)

Die Dativ-Ergänzung ist fast immer eine Person und steht meistens links von der Akkusativ-Ergänzung.
(The indirect object complement is nearly always a person and mostly stands to the left of the object complement.)
